Less than $30K CDN for a JL? NP all day. The thirst for a new vehicle is very strong these days. It’s tough because I know that financially I really need to save, but goddamn, Jeeps are fun.

Sell Forte and ___? The three other cars are pretty set in their place.

I think I’d trade the FiST for that. But it’s also an FCA product. Decisions, decisions.

Least expensive JL I can find near me is a 2018 Sport, modestly optioned, for $31,500. I bet it’d be fun.

I got a slight bump in my car allowance, that combined with the low purchase price of the Forte would make it doable.
That being said, I’d be better of saving and my wife’s new job with your company is casual only right now as she builds up hours.
Probably not the best time to buy a car...

is that USD?

Yes it is. Moving over to Cars.com, a new base Sport can be picked up for $29,776.

That’s like,$40K Canadian . Further confirms this is a smokin deal.

Better to be smart and save up. Responsibility sucks, but it pays off in the long run.

Being an adult sucks.
But at least I can buy chocolate milk anytime I want.

I admire your restraint. I actually inquired about this yesterday, but it sold the same day :
Maybe not a bad thing.

Damn, that would be a great ride!

It would require a few more years of payments than I like, but that color and trim package pushes my buttons.
Bluetec lease is coming to an end and I haven’t yet settled on a replacement.

The Sport is super basic - I know we are supposed to love vehicles with power nothing here, but the list of manual things the Sport is too much for me:
Manual locks
Manual adjusting side mirrors
Manual headlights
Manual windows
No A/C
I could probably live without auto headlights and A/C, but I think that I’d go crazy without power locks, windows and mirrors. Maaaaaaaaybe I could deal with it on a 2-door like this, but not having power locks and windows on a 4-door would push me to the Sport S. I am glad that it exists for the the hardcore off-road crew that is just going to throw out the doors anyway, but I can’t see myself really enjoying a base JL even as a second or third vehicle.

TBH, it doesn’t matter to me. Super basic is OK.
